re-stringing my Hipshot Xtender key

Sign in to disble this ad
Had my luthier Mike Lull install an Xtender key on my E-string a while back (as well as a new set of strings while he was at it).

Now it is time for new strings...

Anything I need to know about re-stringing the Xtender, or is it basically just like re-stringing the other 3 tuners?

I'm assuming I need the Xtender in the "upright" position to do this...

Didn't see anything mentioned on the Hipshot site (unless I completely missed it), so I thought this would be a good place to ask.

Thanks!!

I have an Xtender on my Geddy Lee Jazz. You restring it as you would a normal tuner, just make sure it's in the "up" position.
