Refinishing fretless fingerboard - help finding a good luthier!

Hi all,
Sorry if this has been hashed around before......

I have a 1986 Guild Pilot fretless that I bought used in 1992. I had the fingerboard refinished soon after purchasing it, but haven't played it now for about 5 years due to an annoying dead spot (D on the G string, of course it's a note I play ALL the time). I have since moved (plus I don't even remember the name of the guy that originally fixed up the bass for me). It would be nice to have my back-up bass back up and running.

Does anyone know of any good repair people/luthiers in the Hudson Valley NY area? I haven't had much luck in my search.
