Advice:

Refret, yes.
Refinish, no.

Refretting will have a small but significant effect on value. Refinishing the neck will reduce the price by as much as forty percent depending on the overall condition and originality of the piece.

IIRC, the frets are medium. However, it is incumbent upon the tech to either replace the existing with the same size or give you the option of choosing from a number of different sizes. Non standard sizes of frets will have a negative impact on value.

The finish is, I believe, is polyester. There are some folks on this forum who may disagree.

Refrets cost $75-250USD depending on the location and experience of the luthier, the nature and emphasis of their practice, their clientèle, and whether or not they want to be in business next year.

i don't want to refinish all the neck..just the fretboard..because there are some parts especially on the the fret 3 5 and 7 where the original fretboard finish was comsumed...
the back of the neck is in really good condition...
for the frets i will use the original size

anyway you confirm that original finish of fretboard is polyester?

thanx
