Rehab an Original Badass Bridge

Sign in to disble this ad
I need all new height adjustment screws for a 70's era Original Badass. There's all kinds of 'em on Allparts, but I'm not sure what number (#) and length I need. I know they take a 0.05" allen wrench, although I'd also be interested in slot-head screws if any would fit.

Thanks!

it'll be the same ones that fit a vintage USA fender strat bridge, #4-40.

(edit: if they're the same as the ones the current badass II uses.)

It's your bass, but I'd avoid slot heads if at all possible. It's so easy for a screwdriver tip to slip out of a slot and wind up in your finish.

Here's a good place to find small socket head stuff.

Not to mention that if you have to tweak a saddle in a pinch and use too big a driver, you risk breaking the screw if the slot spreads a teeny bit. Plus they are really hard on your hand whenever it comes near the bridge. Nah, stick with allen socket, if I still had a bridge with slots, I'd swap them out for allen.
