Relicing a Bridge

Normally I don't like the whole relicing thing, but I have a 1983 Ibanez Blazer (P bass style). Was found in a skip or something. The old bridge and tuners have been replaced and the shiney new hardware looks out of place. How would I go about making them look of similar age?

I am a student, I have virtually no money to my name, and the body has been relic'd naturally, and looks quite cool, even though its not normally my thing, i would quite like the bridge to look a similar age if thats possible to do myself.

steel wool and judiciously brush saltwater onto the likely spots where sweat can be contacted? I dunno, not sure, but I figured the salinity of the sweat and salt had to do something with corrosion
