Removable Thumb-Rests

Been doing the research, and it seems that most info is a decade old. I would like to find something along the lines of a Peavey T-20 -style thumb-rest that is removable. It would be ideal if it would mount snugly, without screws or other damage to the finish, right over the nexk pickup of a J-bass. What can anyone tell me?

Looks effective, but is not as ergonomic as I am looking for. My issue is tendonitis in the thumb. Played last night's gig with the floating thumb technique, and more picking, on some songs (only one song with the thumb on the pickup), to about 90% of my own satisfaction with my playing, and am not in pain, this morning. I'd still rather have a place for my thumb.

The floating thumb technique is more useful for me, because the distance between my fingers and the thumb never changes. So less stress on the thumb = less tendon pain.

And I have tendinitis, so I know your pain. It just requires some practicing focused on changing your technique for the better.
