| The Stewmac stuff is pretty good, although it's pretty expensive. Assuming you've got a hard clear finish, I'd recommend Meguiar's Scratch-X. You'll need very little (just like the Stewmac, or any other abrasive polish, for that matter), and you can apply by hand - just be sure to work it in so it breaks down effectively. Otherwise - and this applies to other abrasive polishes as well - you'll leave behind a messy haze and will need to repeat.
Once you've polished the finish and have it looking great, you can apply an automotive wax or sealant. If you're on a Meguiar's fix, their NXT v2.0 is great stuff, and is actually a hybrid product - a wax with polymers for better durability. Two light coats over 48 hours and the dust will wipe off without harming the finish. |
