Reoccurring fret buzz and open string buzz

Sign in to disble this ad
I play a Martin acoustic / electric bass that started getting a fret buzz on the G string, frets 4-7. Repair shop did a fret job adjusted action etc. Did not play at all for 2 months. Go to play it and I get a fret buzz 7-9. Take it back and have been playing it for about 2 months [everything ok] and the fret buzz now occurs 3-6 plus a body buzz [for lack of a better description] on the open A string. I tried adjusting the truss rod and that just moves the buzz to other strings at various different frets and other open strings. I hang the bass on the wall during stable weather conditions and put it in it,s case during extreme humidity changes the best I can. Anyone have any suggestions besides getting a priest to exorcise the demons out of it? Thanks, Dr. Z
