Repairing the repair

I've started a thread for this over on MIMF but figured the folks hear would sympathize. My Leduc UBass came apart at an old repair. Lots of work done, lots to do.

From the photos, I'm not sure the previous work counts as "repair". It doesn't look like the result justifies dignifying it with that term.
