repairing and upgrading a '95 p bass

i have a 1995 mexican p bass that i need to repair and ultimately upgrade it needs a new neck but im not sure what kind to get exactly anyone got any suggestions for what type of neck to use and or upgrades?

If you have that money available....buy a higher quality instrument. Pecking away at an inexpensive guitar with problems ultimately will cost more than buying a new, higher quality one. Unless the thing has sentimental value, or is a high quality instrument that was abused, you should always be wary of the "money-pit" scenario.

What's wrong exactly with the neck? Replacing a neck costs the same as a MIM Bass. The better move would be to REPAIR what's wrong.

the neck is warped and these bass's new are 900 the rest of it is fine the neck and pickguard are the only things that need to be replaced

A new standard P is $580. A used American P wouldn't even cost you 900. To get a neck on par with the MIM, you can go to rondo. MIA necks are considerably better, and you can get them on ebay. There should be lots of necks available in the classifieds here on TB, and lots of discussions of their merits in the other forums.
