Does anyone recommend a good company that makes good fretless replacement necks for Fender Jazz Bass?
I have heard that Warmoth necks are too heavy. I don't want neck dive
thanks

I wouldn't dismiss Warmoth necks so quickly.

I installed a Warmoth Jazz replacement on an SX P-bass, and I'm not experiencing neck dive at all. I weighed both the new and old necks, and the Warmoth neck was only marginally heavier (I think it was only a couple ounces heavier). I installed the Gotoh GB7 tuners which were at least a couple ounces lighter than the existing tuners. Of course, the tuners make the most difference because they are at the end of the neck.

I couldn't be more please with the Warmoth neck. It feels good to hold, which is important because I spent most of my time with my hand on the neck. It wasn't cheap, but it is a quality neck. You get what you pay for. The neck is a Jazz / Wenge neck wood / Ebony fingerboard / stainless steel frets / LP headstock / 13 degree angle / Mother of pearl inlays.

Mighty Mite necks are available on e-Bay for $100 +/-. They are very good quality.

I just finished a similar project; put a Warmoth bound and blocked neck on a Fender Jazz body.

No neck dive at all.

Warmoth makes an Excellent neck.

Warmoth all the way. They make really nice stuff and the quality of their parts is very good. Many talented builders use their parts for custom instruments.
