Sign in to disble this ad
I bought a used a Fury that is need of a new nut. Like a fool I just ordered a brass one off ebay and it is the wrong shape, size, etc.

Have any of you ordered a replacement nut for a MIA Fury, and if so which one 'fit'?

Thanks in advance!

Since the bottom of the nut has a radius, I recommend calling Peavey Service. Ask for Steve. They've come up with some pretty ancient parts for me.

That's a surprise--not!

We should have a stickie: "Drop-in nuts will not fit".

I know, I really should have measured. I understand there is no drop-in nut, I was just surprised how much different it was. I know I could pay a tech to make this work, but I would rather get a nut that would require less work/money to fit.

You're already out the cost of this one, so chalk it up as a learning experience. BTW--brass nuts cost more to have anyone work on them, provide no positive results that you can hear.
My suggestion: Have a bone/tusq/graphite one mad, and installed.
