Replacement Suggestions for BA5 please ?

I'd like a direct replacement (screw holes, overall footprint not as important) for a 'Bad Ass V'.

It has to be significantly lighter.

If you know of any, please let me know the details. Thanks.

You can find a Fender American Deluxe V bridge used for a reasonable price. It will line up with the middle 4 mounting holes and can be strung through the body or top loaded. They also have partially threaded saddles so you can manipulate the string spacing to line up with your pickup pole pieces.

Here's a link to one on flea-bay (I have no affiliation with the seller)

Thanks very much ! This seems ideal.

I just want to double-check, you're sure the 4 holes will line up? If so, comparing by eye where the holes would fall and where the strings go, it does look like it'd be a direct replacement.

I had originally said above that didn't matter much, but on 2nd thought I think it's not a great idea to turn that part of the bass into Swiss cheese, and I'm not much of a woodworker to be filling in the old holes well enough to anchor a bridges around.

Thanks again.
