Replacement tuners for GL Jazz - Fender '75 Reissues

Anyone tried the following as replacement tuners on the Geddy:

001-3187-000
(1) Genuine Fender/Schaller American Vintage '75 Reissue bass tuner. Chrome finish with Fender script logo. Reversible. Includes 11/16" bushing and mounting screws.

If so - did the screw holes line up or were new holes required? Was the quality of the '75 reissues better than the stock tuners on the GL?
