replacing accu cast b25 bridge

I have an Ibanez SR905 on which I am upgrading the hardware - has anyone found an upgrade for the Accu Cast B25 Ibanez bridge? I want a brass or steel bridge.

The problems I am running in to are: 1. the spacing for the 905 is .669 inches and 2. the holes for the string thru are in the middle of the space routed in the body for the bridge.

Is there anything wrong with the bridge on your bass right now?
Does is sound/play well, or are you "upgrading", for it's own sake?

It seems that there's almost a cult of switching out bridges, etc., for some minimal perceived "improvement".

I'm just sayin'...
