Exclamation Replacing Bullet Truss Rod Nut...

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello,

I hae a 1976 Jazz Bass. I recently purchased a new bullet truss rod nut in order to adjust the action better.

What is the proper way to replace the old one with the new? Will it involve removing the neck?

I wanted to get a bit of advice on it before I start twisting on my most prized axe.

Thanks very much in advance...

Take tension off of the neck, loosent he nut until it comes off, then tighten the new one until it meets resistance. Then restring and set the relief.
