| Replacing a fingerboard. DIY?

I'm thinking about replacing the fingerboard on an old neck. I have expierience working on basses, and it's a cheap neck, so I don't mind if it's not perfect. My main question is, could this be something that I could do myself? How do I remove the old one? I've read that it should be heated and then removed slowly, but what should I use to heat it, and at what temperature? Any help would be appreciated. |
