Replacing knobs on a USA Fender Jazz deluxe?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi
I have a 2003 USA Fender Jazz Deluxe. It has four black plastic control knobs, one of which is stacked.
I'd like to replace them with chrome knobs as I like the look and feel of the knurled chrome knobs better. Any idea if these would work?

I would think they would, but Im not 100% sure.

PS You wouldn't be willing to sell (or if you are feeling generous give ) me the black plastic knobs you are taking off the bass, would you?

Generally, plastic knobs go on a "split shaft" pot and just sort of press into place, whereas the knurled metal knobs go on a "solid shaft" pot and have a little screw to hold them in place. There are little "sleeves" that can convert a split shaft to solid shaft, but I have never personally tried them: http://has-sound.com/product_images/Brass%20Sleeves.jpg

Someone outbid me. A well. Just looking for something that matches cream colored pickups better than black plastic knobs. I've always dug the look and feel of knurled chrome.
