| Replacing the pick guard and neck.

I have this P-bass I just bought and I want to change out the white p-guard with a black one as well as switch the crate neck for a squire neck. I'm wondering if any ol' neck and guard do (as long as it's for a bass) or would I have to search for the same brand.
btw it's a crate elecktra but I have no idea where it was made.
