Replacing pickguard on Stingray SUB

Ok, so I've been wanting to switch that ugly metal pickguard on my Stingray SUB for a while. I've read a lot of threads on here that say a standard Stingray pickguard will fit on a SUB, but I've found on several sites listing pickguards a disclaimer like this: "Please note that this pickguard will only fit genuine MusicMan® Stingray®, this pickguard will not fit OLP Stingray® or Ernie Ball SUB®."

What is the deal with this? Does the retailer just not know that the SUB and the standard Stingray have the dimensions, or are they actually different in some way? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The pickguard I was looking at in particular is here:

I got mine from Pickguard Heaven, took about 3 weeks but it is absolutely perfect, and I am very picky about that stuff. They have a template specifically for SUB 5 string, so I am assuming they have the 4 as well.

I got B/W/B (my SUB is graphite) and replaced the screws with black. A huge improvement!

Thanks for the help man. I checked out Pickguard Heaven and they didn't have a template for the SUB4, which makes me think that it's the same as the regular Stingray 4.

I absolutely love the tone of my SUB, it just is so hideous with that pickguard. I've had it for about 2 years and I finally can't stand it anymore.
