Restoration: Which tuners on this Gibson Ripper?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a Gibson Ripper with a disastrous headstock. There are several mangled holes and weird dowels where the machine tuner screws go.

I acquired the bass with cheap, damaged tuners on it (with the screws carelessly jammed in ), so I would like some suggestions of better replacements. The original tuners are Schaller BMs, but even though it's a "restoration", I don't want to spend too much on tuners.

There must be quality alternatives, right?

I might have some Gotoh GB7 4-inline tuners for trade.
