Strap your bass on. Now, look at the headstock: the tuners facing the ceiling are "bass" side; those facing the floor are "treble". If you've been brain-damaged since birth and playing a lefty, all bets are off.

The Hipshot US Ultralites are ambidextrous and may be used for either with a simple conversion.

Got a pic of the headstock? "Reversed" usually means that all of the tuners reside on the treble side. My 5 strings are split amongst 4 + 1, 3 + 2, and 2 + 3.

Okay, you're faced with two problems: you'll have limited real estate on the headstock for 6 tuners plus you'll want to keep the weight to a minimum. Again, I would strongly recommend the Hipshot tuners as they have the smaller footprint (much like a Gotoh GB-7) and can be reversed if mis-ordered. You're looking at a 4 + 2, 3 + 3, or 2 + 4 configuration, correct? You're choices may be severely restricted based upon headstock shape / size.

Never cut prices on a custom.
6 tuners will be heavy. Get Sperzel or Ultralite.
