| You need a 1/4" socket to adjust the Truss rods ...
If you have an old Ric then you need to learn how to adjust them ... improper adjustment will pop off the fretboard ... The newer basses the rods work like any other bass you tighten the rod and it moves the neck. On the old basses you destring the bass and loosen the rods then you manually adjust the neck and then you retighten the rods and restring the bass. But the good news is once the rods are set properly on the old 4001 basses they do not need to be adjusted for years. I went 33 years on my old 4001 without a truss rod adjustment.
If your 4003 is 1986 or later then you will have no problem adjusting the rods. And there are 2. |
