Huh, I've never even heard of Dr. Black* strings, I might have to check them out.


* I have however heard of Dr. Black's Combo, a band from Boston circa mid- or late-1980's that was fronted by Randy Black -- aka Randall Steckowitz -- former frontman for Limbo Race. But I suspect that's not at all germane to this thread.

They call: Dr. Extra Life, Costed strings come in different color's. The black are real tight and I use them on my p-bass.
