| Rosewood fretboard uneven from Maple neck (not frets)?

Hello, I just noticed that the rosewood fretboard has either shrank or was manufactured bad so that it isn't flush with the neck part. There's a little more than a mm on the bottom side (the top side is completely flush) of the maple neck part that hangs out past the fretboard. My bass is a Fender 60's jazz with a 60th anniv Fender P Bass neck. The neck is finished.
So I'm guessing I should just take a pretty fine file and try not to take the finish off as best as I can? It seems that all the threads I found only talked about frets that stick out not the actual wood. |
