Question S D Curlee truss rod info sought

hi y'all, has anyone here ever replaced an s.d. curlee bass truss rod? it looks to me like one would have to remove the skunk stripe and pull the rod out the back (since it does not appear to have a removable fretboard). it also looks like the anchor would be in the headstock/first fret area since the rod adjusts at the butt end. anyone?

I'd give Scott @ Birdsong a shout - he builds (and repairs/restores) the Curlee brand now.
