saddles for american jazz bass

where can i get the saddle pieces for an american jazz bass? (the saddle with the grooves just between the set screws only) I was concidering a badass III but the tone is fine as it is, just have the set screws totally stuck in 3 of the 4 saddle pieces.

thanks, already been there though. I cant seem find the proper ones from the modern mia fenders, i guess ill call fender..

It's not that hard to unstick them. This method works even if the socket in the setscrew is rounded out.

Just loosen the string, remove the intonation screw and spring and remove the saddle from the bridge. There should be enough set screw protruding through the bottom of the roller to grasp with vice grips.

Heat the oven up to about 400 degrees and pop the whole roller in the oven for about 3 or 5 minutes.

As quickly as possible clamp the vice grips on the end of the set screw, DON"T try to turn the screw immediately.wait about a half minute and then it will screw out easily if the threads aren't buggered.

The VGs heat sink the set screw causing it to minutely shrink away from the already expanded hole.

Make sure you have figured out how you are going to handle the hot roller before you heat it up. A second pair of VGs works good but be sure to pad the jaws.
