saddles don't move on my Warwick Thumb BO

Sign in to disble this ad
Trying to adjust the action on my warwick and the saddles do not move when I'm screwing the allen screws. The screws will raise the saddle but will not lower the saddle. The screws go into the saddle instead of the saddle moving down the screw. In essence, it's not allowing me to lower the action. Help?

There's a screw you have to loosen on the inside of the bridge, the pickup side. There is one for each string and its semi-awkward to get to. Once that is loosened, you can do all the adjustments to the saddles, including raising, lowering, narrowing the strings, widening the strings etc. Warwick bridges are so customizable, that little screw acts as a lock.

The very small allen screw on each saddle?

Thanks alot...This is my first time setting it up myself. As the last guy just made the neck as straight as could be with no relief and I figured he messed it up and I paid him 30 bucks. I could mess it up for free..haha..I've been learning on a cheap-o and now I'm moving what I've learned over to my big boy..ha...thanks man

BTW your profile says USA Warwick, Warwicks are made in Germany.

Each saddle has a screw facing the pickups. That's the one to loosen, once you do that, you can adjust the screws that adjust the height. I did the same thing, unless you loosen that screw you can only adjust up, and you can't adjust left to right.

Do you recommend adjusting the entire bridge or just the individual saddles to lower my action. My relief is already set.

I'm a warwick newb. I'm on it..:-)

To change the action on my warwick should I just lower the entire bridge or should I do it individually with the saddles?

I did the bridge first, then made adjustments based on how I like each individual string.

Like I had to raise my E string when the rest of the strings were completely fine.
