Saddles keep slipping?

Sign in to disble this ad
I have to adjust the saddles on my Ibanez SR300M every few days because they somehow loosen up randomly... I played a show the other night after adjusting them the day before and to my 'surprise' they were clacking and buzzing against the frets.

***?

Go down to the nearest hardware store and get some blue Loctite.

Loosen a string, remove the offending screw, paint a small amount of the blue stuff onto said screw. Allow it to dry, then reinstall & tune the string back up. Repeat for all bad screws. Once again, use the BLUE stuff- it's removeable. The red is not.

I'm sure Loctite will work best but a dab of clear nail polish sometimes will do the quick and easy trick... has for me.

okay, i tried the nail polish, and it seems to have worked just fine.
I went back and did routine setup on the neck and then the saddles, and everything seems to be fine.

thanks very much guys!
