Schaller 471 8 string bass bridge

I've got one of these bridges:

http://www.warmoth.com/catalog/produ...ducts_id=14839

I haven't done anything with it yet, either it'll go on my Ace Pro 8 string, which has a crappy bridge, or a future custom bass. What I'm not sure about is if the little saddles have to be slotted like a Badass II. They don't have any existing slots, but the top of the saddles is textured?

Does anyone have any experience with these bridges or have any advice? They're somewhat hard to find in the UK, so I don't want to foul it up. I did however file the saddles on the Badass II on my Squier successfully.

Thanks!

Hey DoubleL

I've tried to look for that bridge, but cant find it anywere

when you said you filed down a Badass II, does that mean that it does 8 strings, 2 on each saddle?

Cheers,

Chris

I know this is an old post, but the Schaller site says, "The saddles are supplied without grooves, allowing them to be individually customized."

^^^This.

I bought mine through Warmoth, and it came unslotted. The luthier who installed it had to slot the saddles.
