Schecter Diamond 004 strap button

Sign in to disble this ad
After many months of gigging, the screw hole for my rear strap button has finally managed to strip. The screw comes right out, button and all...it makes things somewhat difficult to say the least!

Got any suggestions as to what I can do to repair it without splitting the wood/etc?

Cover a toothpick with wood glue, stick it in the hole, cut it off flush with the body, then screw the strap button back in.

Sounds ghetto, but that's more than likely what a tech would do.
