screw for Fender American DeLuxe potentiometer

Sign in to disble this ad
In a Fender Jazz Bass American DeLuxe (active bass) I have lost the screw that secures the BOTTOM potentiometer that is part of the Bass/treble boost setup (higher and lower on the same slot), in the picture of the detail, the second from the right, in the full bass photo, the second from the bottom.
It is absolutely un-findable, at least here in Italy. I found the Fender Jazz Bass potentiometer kit with the knobs and the screws but being for the passive Fender Jazz Bass, that has only 3 knobs, it doesn' t have this unique double knob that uses, for the low potentiometer a different screw than the others, for some reason.... Any ideas where I can order it ?

thanks in advance

Roby

Do you mean the nut and washer that secure the dual pot to the pickguard?

If it is a little smaller than the other pots, it is probably metric. It might be easiest to find a similar pot at a repair shop, etc. and just take the nut from it. Have you tried shops that repair radios and stereo equipment?

Good Luck and Buon Natale

Do you mean the little screw that holds the knob onto the pot's shaft? That's called a setscrew, & a local machine shop should be able to quickly & cheaply get you one.
