Screw patterns for precision / tele bass pickup covers

I have a 1973 tele bass and would like to install one of the later precision bridge covers rather than the original open backed '51 style covers.

Does anyone have both covers so that i can confirm or deny that they can use the same screw holes. i really don't want to drill new ones.
