Hi I was wondering when I set up my Daion Preformer bass ( see bass guitars ), how do you set them up ie I know with a fretted bass you put a capo on 1st frett hold down on last frett & measure at the 8 th frett on the estring.Etc
Do you do the same on a frettless bass the same measurments? thanks

Any bass needs a little bow in the neck in order to play without buzzing out on the fingerboard. With a fretted bass it is suggested that you be able to use a fender thin pick as a gage for a fretted bass.

(BTW hold the string down at the first and 15th fret and check for bow at about the 8th fret) The last fret does not measure where the truss rod adjusts and you get a false reading with respect to the thin pick as a gage.
