OK my BTB manual says capo at first fret then hold down at fret where neck meets body and measure gap at 8th fret. Only problem is which fret where the neck meets the body? On my sons BTB405 you've got a choice of at least 4 frets due to the shape of the body!!

It doesn't really matter, just pick one of them, you're just using the string as a straightedge.
