Setup: Tenor vs. Piccolo

Hi,

I'm getting a 4 string stup at the moment by my tech, and i was thinking of going for something a bit different with regards to tuning. Trouble is, I'm stuck as to whether to go for Tenor or Piccolo tuning. So my question is, if I get it setup for Tenor but then fancy chnging to piccolo (or vice versa) will it desparately need re-setting up? The reason I ask is because I am absolutely rubbish at all things tech like, so if I can get away with not doing it then great, but otherwise I will have to make a descision.
