SF Bay Area Luthiers/Repairmen

I am looking to add a J pickup to my P-bass and I need to get the pickup cavity routed and the pickup wired in. Any suggestions on good techs in the Bay Are for this sort of thing? The wiring is the easy part, but it has to be someone with experience cutting into guitars....

SF guitarworks hands down. They are very professional and do very good work. You can use google to find their blog and see some of the unique and impressive work they have done.

Also use yelp to help you narrow down your search. You will see they have many many five star reviews.

Mark Brown in Campbell, he was the Doobie Bros' gtr tech for years and years. Did some excellent repair and set up work for me (2 basses, guitars are next) as well as nearly a dozen of my drummer's guitars and basses. He's in Campbell near downtown. Highly recommended, a good guy.

And of course Frank at Gryphon Strings in Palo Alto, but they are more of an acoustic-guitar shop. Nevertheless, they do fantastic work.
