Shielding a P-bass Deluxe

I love my bass, but it buzzes like mad and it really is not making me happy.
Any tips as to how to go about shielding the bass?

i have the p-bass deluxe as well and i just run it through my compressor/gate and with the proper gated settings i have no buzz
