Should I bring my bass into a shop or do this myself?

I want to adjust the action on my warwick fretless, IMO, the action is too high. Should I adjust the nut/bridge myself until I get the action i want or should i bring the bass into a shop?

if you suggest the shop, do you think that a local sam ash can do the job or should i bring it to a higher ended place?

Do it yourself. It`s easier than changing a string. Just make sure you have the right size hex tool ( something like this: http://www.wihatools.com/352serin_Long.htm ).

IMO...
EVERYONE needs to learn how to adjust their own action and intonation...it really is quite easy, once you understand the concepts...

the same goes for trussrod adjustment, but people should take a bit more care and learn how to do this properly, as damage can be extensive if the rod were to fail.
