What exactly is the nature of your trouble?

I really love that tuner- it's been great to me. The 440 tuning is the commonly used one now, so you're in the right place. Also think about touching the 12th fret and plucking the harmonic if the lowest notes aren't coming in well for you.

The tuner might be getting some odd resonances via the bass, but again, try the harmonic at 12th fret. Also, use the back pickup if your bass has one, instead of the front one. Or try the other.

Lastly, not all tuners work equally well with all instruments.

As an aside, I've played in bands with two guitarists, and each one used different tuners and when it came to play together, the guitarists frequently sounded off. I tend to think that for that reason, the guitars and basses should be tuned by the exact same tuner, to help (though maybe not eliminate) tuning issues.

Good luck with it.

yep the bass has four knobs, volume, tone and has an internal 2 band EQ bass and trebble, the trebble knob is incrusted and it makes alotta sound (doesnt sounds in the amp though but i can gear it clearly) so what i did was put bass and trebble at 0
