Should it work?

I recently Got a Traben AP-5
its had a minor crack that goes from the front part of the headstock to the side and down the neck about 2 inches.
(The crack is on the left if u look close)

anyway me and my uncle repaired it. opened it up a bit put some wood glue in it and clamped it for a day.
ive never had a repaired bass before
will it hold?
i look at my basses as babys ahah im just that way

I'd say you've got a 50/50 chance - either it will hold or it won't.

Wood glue is strong stuff. My bet is that it should be fine. It only appears to be a hairline crack at this point, and shouldn't affect it structurally.

A properly glued joint in wood is stronger than the wood around it. As long as you got enough glue in there and clamped it well, you should never have any problem with it.

I had the entire headstock knocked off of my Gibson ES 355. A luthier glued it almost a year ago. With the string tension, plus the rigors of occassional gigging, it has never once given me the idea that it will break again.
