Question single fret buzz

Sign in to disble this ad
6 monthes ago I have purchased a beautiful MIJ P Bass.. been preforming live and recording with it since then. 2 monthes ago I noticed a strange buzz occuring only when I play the VII fret on the D string... how come? is that a cause of alarm??
How can it be fixed?
Thx

One or two things, or a combination of the two.
1) Raise the D saddle slightly and check
2) Back off the truss rod nut slightly (about 1/16th of a turn) and check

I'd mess with the saddle first because it only affects one string.
