Slap question

Im a more a finger player, i almost never slap (but I can slap some easy parts)

I was slaping in my pc/home studio and i realize that the slap (thumb) peak volume is much higher than the pop peak volume in the volumeter.
String balance is decent when i play fingerstyle.

I was asking me if that is normal for the technique or im just doing something wrong...

Or slap technique requires always a limiter/compressor

It is normal.

What you must do is play softer.

Or you can use a compressor.
