So, today I wanted to put some copper shielding tape in my bass.
But I've run into a bit of an issue:
SX has struck again in all their "custom handmade" glory.
I'm not sure what to do about it.

| | | | I can't exactly see what the problem is. Is that a gouge in the control cavity? I do see what appears to be a hole where the bit that drilled out the bridge ground lead hit the bottom of the cavity.
I'd fill it with body filler, wood putty, epoxy, or superglue (the first two are sandable) and cover it over with your shielding tape.

My mom tells me that her dad has a dremel, so maybe we can use that to smooth that little spot out.

... | Yeah! Down with SX and their basses that... ...people can afford!
Unless you're planning on working inside the control cavity everyday, don't worry about it. |

| | | | Yeah dude, that gouge can't be more than 1/4" in depth or you'd have a hole in the back of your bass.
I've worked with worse, just tape over it and fagetabadit!

Back on topic, if this really isn't going to be a problem, then I guess I just won't worry about it. I'll put the foil in tonight, and if I run into any issues I'll just post them here.

Any advice for shielding the tunnel connecting the pickup route and the control route?

But, I don't want ANY noise, anywhere.
