[quote=WillaiMC]Ok, so a local music store here in Akron Ohio has a B.C. Rich Mockingbird bass that a fugly metallic blue for 300 bucks by the way it's a platnium so it's really an 800 dollar guitar (

) I play it a little bit, sounds EXCELLENt. if a bass had balls, this one would have 2 sets. here the catch, there's a HUGE chip out of the body, about 2 inches above the low E
I ask my dad, what could we do about that (keep in mind he's similar to Tim the Tool Man Taylor only he can actually do the stuff) he says "well, we can take all the finish off make it black router out the front an 8th of an inch and make it broken mirror like Paul Stanleys Black Diamiond Iceman"
So we go home and see if we can pull off the broken glass look on a piece of plywood, we make a general guitar shape on a piece of 12" by 12" mirror and mark the glass where the breaks would look good (I looked at Stanleys Iceman to get the general idea) went and scored the glass, broke it on the scores and glued it to a piece of plywood (we used hot glue, imposible to get the mirror off) and viola! it works! so now I need to convince him to buy the bass then do it
Wacha think?[/QUOTE
I think I would have already bought the bass. If it's not already gone, it will be.
Most of us have lost out on super deals while we were thinking it over.
So far as the mods, sounds like a good plan.
