This may not be what you want to hear, but I'd suggest a 5 string. That .120 is huge for a bass that was designed for .105's. Someone else may have a magic truss adjustment idea, but that's what I think, and exactly why I got a 5 string early last year.

Since you're only tuning down 1 step, possibly try going to a set of strings with a .110, because .105s on fenders give excellent tension for a low E, and even for the occasional low D. I think that with something like a .50-.110 or even .55-.110 if you'd like, you'll get a more even tension and higher tension than playing with the .120s, so you won't buzz as much. I've actually successfully dropped .110's down do BEAD without too much buzz, though I don't recommend that.

my band plays in C F A# D#. i just adjust the neck a little and do the intonation again. i never have buzzes. your neck still has the relief on it for standard tuning. since you tune down i bet there is a slight bow in your neck that would go away if you put more tension on the strings by tuning it to E A D G

if youre tuning that low, i'd suggest a 5 string or buying a left handed neck.

Yep. This is a setup issue. Moved to Setup.

hey guys thanks for the help.. i remember when i setted up my bass, at first it didn t buzz or anything but after a day or so it started going worse and worse. i took it back again to set it for 3 times and it still kept on buzzing after a day or so after it was setted. after that i was shy to go back to the technician to set it again.. do i have something wrong with the neck??

thanks

I put a set of Rotosound Steve Harris flats on my MIM Deluxe Jazz bass tuned to DGCF. The string tension is a bit higher than the Elixirs they replaced. This helped reduce fret buzz. I like the feel and tone, but you might have to turn your amp volume up a little.
