Some notes out of tune...

I have a MIM P neck, and squier p body. Setup and everything seems nice. Intonated - open and 12 fret are both in tune. However everything in between is very sharp.

I checked the nut height (.022 feeler under string at first fret). Seems good.

Frets too high? What could cause this? I noticed it when playing and my G was way out of tune....

I realize there may be some variances and some notes will never be perfect, but these are pretty far off.

thanks

Might be time for a new set of strings and then re-intonate.

Try tempered tuning.

Do you press strings hard? If not, the nut slots are too high.

strings are new. Not pressing too hard - i wondered about the nut, but I measured it at the first fret and it seemed good.

Have done some tempered tuning, but I would like to see if I can find the issue.
