Some setup specs needed.

I would like to have some fresh setup values for bass. It seems that there is much less information on the internet in this regard than for guitar.

The bass in question is 34" scale, with 50 70 90 110's, with the E and A tuned down a step, for most of my playing. I only play with my fingers and thumb, no pick, no slap, just plucking.

I would like to hear some examples of what other bass players prefer with respect to relief and most importantly, string height at the twelth fret. Please specify if the measurements are to the center of the string or the bottom. It seems there is no universal consensus on which method to use.

Have you read through the setup guide here?
ALL BASIC SETUP QUESTIONS ANSWERED HERE There is good info there, but you have to learn the basics first then do the setup to your playing style.

The suggested measurements are only a starting point. Each player should adjust to their own personal liking. I don't know the measurement on my basses because I never measure them. Also, I might change them several times a year.

The only "specs" that matter, are what you hear, and how you feel, playing your instrument.
