Spring on G string bridge gone. Is that bad?

For some reason, the little spring (Not sure if this is the correct term, haha) on my bridge where the G string goes is gone. Nothing acts differently. Same action and holds in tune but I know this has to be bad. Any ideas?

If you are talking about the spring that goes between the saddle and the back of the bridge, loss of the spring is not much of a concern. In fact it can be seen as a good thing - sometimes these springs rattle annoyingly.

The springs are functionally of little value anyway -IMHO.
