Squier Affinity J Replacements

Hello guys, I'm planning to do some modifications, I just started and I wanted to learn how to modify basses before tacking fenders and high end stuff, can you guys help me out with some problems?

First of all I'm having problem with Squier pegholes.. does anyone have any idea of the size Affinity's pegholes? and suggest some machine heads suitable for Squier neck?

Secondly, bridges, does Fender Standard bridge or Vintage bridge fit in Squier's? I'm planning to replace the stock but from what I've read I don't think I'll mess with bad ass 2 bridges and gotoh201 so I'll just stick to the fenders..

Last but not least pickguards, any ideas on where to get pickguards that would fit the Affinity? I'm looking for brown tort. ones like those vintage jazz basses.

I, too am interested in "personalizing" my Squier Bass (mine's a P-Bass). Unfortunately, I've yet to do it. However, Musician's Friend has a 45-day return policy. I guess we'll have to order from them unless someone else has a similar policy. Well, I will at least.
